PITRI Objectives
To improve the care of injured persons through research, education, and promoting co-operation and sharing knowledge between stakeholders
To decrease the incidence and severity of injury by promoting strategies that will
- prevent accidents, crashes and injury
- provide better treatment
- Improve recovery and rehabilitation
To reduce the impact and frequency of injury by promoting strategies that will:
- prevent episodes of trauma through system changes and legislation
- prevent injury through education
- increase awareness of the impact of trauma
To develop an internationally recognised centre for injury research in the state of Western Australia
